NASA civil servants and contractors have the opportunity to take part in the events and experiences leading up to Super Bowl LI, by volunteering to become one of the selected 10,000 volunteers to make the difference between a good and a great event.

Requirements to be a Volunteer

Being a Houston Super Bowl Host Committee volunteer is a rewarding, yet demanding role. NASA volunteers will work the spaced-theme exhibit at Discovery Green in downtown Houston. Here is what you need to know before you start your application.

Availability
Check your calendar. Super Bowl celebrations will be focused around Jan. 27 to Feb. 5, 2017. During 2016, successful applicants will be invited to attend our Houston Super Bowl LI Host Committee Recruitment Center for a face-to-face interview and applicable training sessions to be fully prepped for their role.

Time
You must agree to be available and commit to a minimum of three 6–8 hour shifts from Jan. 27 to Feb. 5 and attend the mandatory Recruitment Center and Training events.

You need to be:

In addition, to help ensure the safety and security of Super Bowl LI, all volunteer applicants must pass a mandatory background check.

Reimbursement
By applying to volunteer, you are offering your personal commitment of time and energy. Thus, your time and transportation will not be paid or reimbursed.
