Tour De KSC is an event open to all KSC employees and their guests. All guests must be U.S. Citizens and over the age of 12. During this event, an individual employee can escort up to five non-badged guests onto KSC property for a bike ride along marked routes across the Center. There will be photo opportunities along the way so that employees and their guests will be able to view what we’re doing here at KSC in person.

There will be three different routes to choose from, with lengths ranging from 7 to 33 miles. Participants will be required to pre-register for this event. There is NO fee required to participate. Participants can purchase t-shirts at the event for approximately $10.00. 

Light refreshments will be available in the morning upon participants’ arrival. Support and Gear stations will be available throughout the courses stocked with water and first aid supplies. A pizza lunch will be available when participants conclude their routes. All food at start of event and at end of the event will be provided at no cost.

This event has a limit of 1000 participants. In case of inclement weather this is a make-up date of Sunday, March 8.

Additional event details:

• At check-in employees will need to present their badge and guests a photo ID. No walk up registrations or guest substitutions are allowed, all guests must be registered in the NVITE system.
• Badged employees and their guests must stay together at all times while on center. Employees are solely responsible for their guests.
• Sweeper trucks will be available to pick up and transport stragglers, broken down bikes or injured bicyclists.
• Must bring your own bike and helmet or rent from the company listed below.

BIKE RENTALS
This year there will be a limited amount of bikes available for rent from a local bike shop.  Cost is $35 for sport comfort bikes, and $55 for road bikes.  All bike rentals come with helmets.  If you are interested, please contact Coast to Coast Bicycle Company. You must reserve a bike by February 28th in order to rent it for the event. Bicycles will be delivered to and picked up from the start/finish area.  

Items to Bring to Tour de KSC

Required Items

• Confirmation of registration email. It can be printed out or on your phone
• Properly maintained bike capable of making the distance for which the participant will ride (good brakes, properly inflated tires, etc.)
• Approved CPSC / ASTM / Snell B-90 / Snell B-95 Helmet
• Proper biking clothing (no open toed shoes or sandals/flip-flops
• Badge (KSC employee sponsors and volunteers must have their badges with them at all times during the tour.)
• Cell Phone – Should be at least one person with a cell phone in your biking group
